Once upon a time, there was a mighty dragon.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

She lived in an old ruined castle in the woods.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Being a dragon, she partook of such dragony activities as acquiring and stashing treasure.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Since this treasure she acquired generally belonged pre-acquisition to other people, some of the locals got upset.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

They decided to take firm action.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And then decided to run away quickly.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Brave and noble knights were sought to deal with the kleptomaniac beast.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

They met with varying levels of unsuccess.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Brave Sir Larry decided that he wasn't going to put up with that sort of behaviour from an oversized lizard with wings.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And so the noble knight ventured forth upon an epic journey to far and distant lands. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .fighting off pirates. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .confronting fearsome spectres. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .engaging in mind-boggling gravity-defying martial arts duels with ninjas. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .battling giant robots. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .and occasionally even building up the courage to ask for directions. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .until at last he arrived at the dreaded Black Castle of Really Dark Blackness!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Home of Morris the Enchanter!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Sir Larry beseeched Morris the Enchanter for aid in defeating the dragon.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

"I shall help you," replied Morris, "if you can defeat my champion in single combat!"
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Sir Larry readily agreed, secure in the knowledge that he possessed a mighty magical sword.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Unfortunately, so did his opponent. And his was much bigger.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Mortal combat ensued.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And ensued.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And ensued.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Eventually Buttercup the horse, tired of standing around in the sun without any oats, took matters into hand herself. Or into hoof, rather.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And so Sir Larry and Morris the Enchanter rode off together on their quest.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Eventually they reached the dragon's lair. Totally uninvited. Late in the day. When the dragon had only just stepped into the shower. Naturally, she was most annoyed.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Morris faced the dragon and. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .in a puff of smoke. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .summoned a mighty dragon of his own, to do battle!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The two beasts squared off against each other.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The spectators cheered the upcoming battle.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

But then. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

. . .something happened. . .
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And both the dragons lived happily ever after.
THE END.
